Do not confuse Internet users. Stick to good quality dot com domain names
With all the extensions and variations available today some users are confused. When confused, users will not try to understand what an extension means or what country it represents. A confused user will revert to the safe extension most commonly known today, and that is the dot com.
Some "domainers" imagine that because they missed the boat with the dot com domain names, they expect users to follow their dreams and do business with any site with any extension. The reality is that users trust the dot com extension but rarely trust any other extension. We have yet to see one extension that is anywhere as good as a dot com.
The imagination of some of these "domainers" is amazing. They wrongly think that any domain name with any extension is good enough. This is why you see some horrible worthless and useless domain names. Apart from the registrars and the registries, it's hard to see who else makes money from these useless domain names. Maybe the only people making money are the lawyers involved in the litigations of these worthless domain names. Hard to see the logic in wasting thousands to try to keep a domain name not even worth the price of the registration.
Some "domainers" keep on inventing all sorts of variations of good dot com domain names, and they also chase any new extension hoping they will find a domain name as good as the original dot com. The hard reality is that nothing comes close to a good dot com domain name. Nice to dream, but hundreds of millions of users won't change their natural instincts and gut feeling only to please some "domainers".
The real money is in quality dot com domain names. The other extensions and horrible copies are a waste of time and money. Users see them as left over for operators who cannot afford the real thing. Very rarely do users do any business with these sites because they totally lack credibility and give no confidence.
